treaty claim for uk pensions

well, now this is getting interesting. i'm sure it's gonna upset the donsta.
"a descendant of ngapuhi chief hone heke, david rankin [pictured], the first maori to sign the treaty of waitangi, plans to spearhead a campaign for maori to claim british pensions on reaching retirement age."
the claim being made is based upon the third article of the treaty, as follows.
"In consideration thereof Her Majesty the Queen of England extends to the Natives of New Zealand Her royal protection and imparts to them all the Rights and Privileges of British Subjects."
i can't wait to see where this goes!
