an inconvenient truth
i have had several discussions today. especially around the state of our society here in new zealand or as we call it, aotearoa. living here in the thriving metropolis of naenae, one gets to see first hand, the pain and degradation that can be suffered by the ethnic and lower socio-economic population of many countries. drugs, alchohol, poverty, lack of leadership, lack of community, a moral degradation that is shocking and truly noticable in our disaffected youth, a disconnection with empathy that is scary, and in new zealand, we are relatively safe!tonight, my folks [who are approaching the 70-80 age group], are holed up in their home worrying about the youths wandering around the streets in gangs, tagging, robbing and generally standing over [intimidating] the populace.
last night, al gore said something that has really stuck with me all day and is with me still. he was of course referring to global warming. but it applies all round.
"as long as the salaries of the rich and powerful are dependant on the status quo, there will be no change." think about it..........

your blog is starting to sound like a newspaper column, very informative, you said if i was in NZ that you would teach me to play the guitar, i have a pretty nice Ibenez 6 string and a Yamaha bass, along with 2 Peavey amps but can't play either, i bought my kid a Washburn 6 string and a BC Rich amp and she doesn't play either, i guess i just like guitars but don't have the discipline, take care.
i have a jean larrivee acoustic and a fender strat. i also have a fender deville 45 watt 4 x 10" amp. i'm after a victoria amp. tis all good.
